Brighton’s Leandro Trossard sidelined by groin injury
Brighton ahead Leandro Trossard may not be back in action until after the break that is upcoming.
While he was off on international duty with 17, the 24-year-old picked up an accident in practice.
He had to miss Belgium Qualifier from Scotland and – having made a promising start to his Premier League career – he is absent until after another round of qualifiers at mid-October.
Brighton director Graham Potter said:”It is early stages with Leandro but he has felt a thing in his groin.
“We don’t think it is as bad as originally thought.
“He is obviously not going to be accessible for the weekend and also the other side of the upcoming international fracture is likely what we’re aiming for now.
“At the early stage, it’s hard to put a lot more of a timescale on it.”
Brighton signed Trossard out of Genk a month and that he started his account for the club in a 1-1 draw against West Ham.
He has to make his debut for Belgium but was named in the squad four times.
Brighton yield to Premier League action and in addition they have games from Chelsea, Newcastle and Spurs before the next round of Worldwide action.
